Well, well, not every one believes that line that the right and Hillary is riding.
I still can’t believe that Hillary…Wellesley/Yale graduate from the ‘burbs Hillary is calling Barack elitist. Wow…if that’s not the pot calling the kettle black, I don’t know what is.
But, at least much of PA isn’t focused on the craziness of the hysteria surrounding Senator Obama’s comments.
I read the comments that Senator Obama made about his theory into the source of frustration for small town Americans. I don’t see what all of the hubbub is. Whenever anyone is economically disadvantaged and they are short or devoid of hope, they look for something to cling to. They can either use that for positive or negative motivation. Barack was merely speaking on that. We aren’t used to politicians speaking that way…I think Barack shouldn’t worry about the media says and especially what Hillary Clinton and John McCain say.
Hillary’s comments are only digging a hole for herself. I know that, for myself, I will not vote for her if she gets the nomination. She is taking very inappropriate shots at Barack Obama. She says:
“Pennsylvanians,” she declared, “don’t need a president who looks down on them. They need a president who stands up for them, who fights for them, who works hard for your futures, your jobs, your families.”
Hillary…people don’t necessarily need someone to fight for them. They need someone who will get government and corporate America out of their mix so that they can build their own solutions and their own lives! People don’t need hand outs, people need real opportunities to move out of rough situations where jobs and prosperity are hard to come by. When I say moving, I don’t mean moving away, I mean building better communities. If you enable folks with the tools, they can use them and be better off. Hillary doesn’t realize that people don’t need politicians to solve problems for them. This is why Barack won states like Montana. Montanans don’t need Big Brother. They need what we all need. A fair shot to create our own opportunity. That’s what womens’ suffragists wanted. Abolitionists. Feminists.GLBT activists. Union workers.
That’s the promise of America. I think people are scared because some of the things Barack talks about directly challenges what America currently is and challenes this country to actually live up to its creed.
That’s why I am supporting him.

Insane…she kills this song. She makes Janis Joplin sound like Mary Poppins!
…big girls can’t represent in the world of beauty?
I am not a big fan of beauty pageants (especially ones with exceptionally young contestants — think JonBenet Ramsey age) but I can’t help but tip my hat to this one. Miss Surrey 2008, Chloe (I can’t seem to find a last name for her) is vying for Miss England. What’s different about her?
She is a size 16. Yes, one - six. She’s 5′10″ and about 168 lbs.
Maybe, dare I say it? People are starting to see beauty at any size.
As a man that is partial to the fuller - figured ladies, I am happy to see this.
