waiting for gentoo….
by Derek on Feb.27, 2005, under linuxGoodies, plain talk, tech spot
Well, my system is in the middle of an
install of Gentoo Linux. By switching to
an alternate terminal, I can use links to
blog. How nice
. Never mind the fact
that it seems to be taking forever for
x.org to compile but what ya gonna do.
I have never completely finished a Gentoo
install. Maybe because my machine was
a little too slow to handle it. Now that I
have a better processor and memory and video
card (currently, the oldest component in my
computer is my Sound Blaster Live X-Gamer 5.1 which
is still a pretty good card…though the line in
is going bad–I use the line in for sound from my tv card).

Damn…I want one.
If I didn’t have to repair my current machine and pay off college debts, I would have one. And, of course, I would have an OS X / Linux dual boot. Here’s a link to a guy who set up such an environment. Fun fun! Extremely yummy goodness!
out right

I just learned (thanks Air America Radio ) that Maya Keyes, daughter of Alan Keyes, former candidate for US Senator for Illinois (he got ROCKED by Barack Obama), is gay. Ok…Dick Cheney’s daughter, Newt’s sister and now this. I just think that’s hilarious…
